The series maintains a visually striking aesthetic, with considerable investment in cinematic effects that craft breathtaking landscapes and thrilling battle sequences, though some of the television CGI limitations are occasionally apparent.

Regarding performances, Li Yifeng commendably portrays the complex transformation of Zhang Xiaofan/Gui Li, authentically depicting his inner turmoil between righteousness and evil, love and vengeance. Zhao Liying, despite limited screen time due to narrative developments, leaves a profound impression with her nuanced expressions. Yang Zi also delivers a consistent performance, upholding Lu Xueqi's icy demeanor.
